Uriel Alcala Rios, who recently moved to Visalia from Selma, was arrested on March 27 after officers say he attempted to meet a juvenile girl for sex.
Detectives say Rios had been communicating with the girl through a social media app and was taken into custody during a surveillance operation conducted with the Fresno County Adult Compliance Team.

The investigation began March 25 when police received a report about an adult male attempting to solicit sex from a minor.
Detectives later learned Rios first contacted the girl years earlier, when she was 14. Police say he picked her up, drove her to rural areas, and engaged in sex acts.
Police also said that they found a second victim and believe there may be more.
