Bullard Teacher Arrested for Inappropriate Behavior With a Minor, Principal Says

Police arrested 37-year-old Bullard High teacher Ray Waller Thursday on suspicion of having sex with a minor and making or selling pornography, according to a news release from the Fresno Police Department.

The victim was a juvenile student at the high school.

The teacher has been put on administrative leave while the investigation continues, Fresno Unified confirmed.

Bullard High Principal Armen Torigian sent an email to parents Friday morning.

“Please be assured that Fresno Unified School District takes these allegations very seriously and will fully cooperate with local law enforcement throughout the investigation,” the email acquired by GV Wire stated.

Ongoing Investigation Includes Child Pornography Charges

The Fresno Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit made the arrest with the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce.

Police charged Waller with 10 counts, including using a minor to sell or produce pornography, possessing child pornography, sodomy with a person under 16 years old, and arranging a meeting with a minor for lewd behavior.

Bail for the 10 charges is $785,000.
