A California Highway Patrol K-9 officer seized approximately 50 pounds of illicit mushrooms valued at $80,000 during a traffic stop on Feb.6, the CHP reported on Tuesday.

The CHP Central Division officer stopped a 2021 Dodge pickup on I-5 at Nees Avenue.
K-9 “Shei” alerted to the presence of narcotics, leading to a search that uncovered the mushrooms.
