Until Thursday, Feb. 13, you can get paid for dining in Clovis.
The Clovis Restaurant Rewards give diners a $25 gift card for every $100 spent at a restaurant, bar, or coffee house in the city limits.
“Clovis Restaurant Rewards helps support dozens of businesses in Old Town Clovis,” said Heather Frantzich, executive director of the Business Organization of Old Town.
“We’re excited to continue partnering with the city of Clovis on this program and can’t wait to see the way our community comes together this year in support of the many great restaurants in Old Town and throughout Clovis.”
Get Paid to Dine
The city, Clovis Chamber of Commerce, and BOOT first ran the program in 2023. Officials estimate it brought $265,000 into the local economy.
Diners need to save their itemized receipts and bring them to the business license window at the Clovis Administration Building for the gift cards. Food delivery services such as DoorDash orders also qualify, program officials said.
The administration building is at 1033 Fifth St. in Clovis.
Once you’ve accumulated $100 in receipts, you can choose a $25 gift card for a Clovis restaurant. Old Town Bucks can also be chosen instead of gift cards. Various Old Town Clovis businesses accept the vouchers as cash equivalents.
“The Rewards program supports our local restaurants, our incredible restaurant operators, thousands of employees, and our local economy,” said Greg Newman, CEO of the Clovis Chamber. “Restaurants win, the community wins, and the customers win.”
Any receipts collected as of Wednesday are eligible. Beginning Monday, those receipts can be redeemed for gift cards. While receipts are only eligible until Feb. 13, diners have until Feb. 18 to turn them in, unless the program’s $6,000 fund becomes exhausted before then.
