Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told supporters Monday that former President Donald Trump has promised him control over several public health agencies, including the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Agriculture, if Trump wins a second term, CNN reported.

Speaking during a livestreamed event, Kennedy said Trump assured him he’d oversee HHS and its sub-agencies, as well as the USDA, to prioritize an agenda focused on “making America healthy.”

“The key that I think I’m — you know, that President Trump has promised me is — control of the public health agencies, which are HHS and its sub-agencies, CDC, FDA, NIH and a few others, and then also the USDA,” Kennedy said.

Trump’s campaign has not commented, but Trump previously expressed interest in appointing Kennedy to a panel investigating chronic diseases.

Kennedy, a vocal critic of vaccine safety and agriculture policies, has campaigned for Trump in key states since suspending his independent bid in August.
