The Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office needs the public’s help to identify a man who was struck by a vehicle and died nearly three months later from his injuries.

On May 30, a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle near the intersection of Blackstone and Griffith avenues in Fresno.

The man sustained severe injuries and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center. Despite the medical staff’s efforts, they were unable to communicate with him or determine his identity before he died on Aug. 20.

The Coroner’s Office has released a photo of the man and is asking anyone with information about his identity to come forward. One distinguishing feature is a faded rose tattoo on his upper left arm.

Identifying the victim and locating his immediate family is crucial for the coroner to release the body and ensure a proper burial.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Coroner’s Unit at (559) 600-3400 or email coroner@fresnosheriff.org.
