Reedley College pitcher Will Gagnon, 20, signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday. He was drafted on Day 3 in the 14th round of the 2024 MLB June Amateur Draft on July 16.
Gagnon was the only junior college baseball player from California drafted this year.

According to Dodgers Digest, all Day 3 draft picks who signed received bonuses below the $150,000 allotment for rounds 11-20. The right-hander signed for $147,500, with no additional bonus money.
Gagnon, a Reedley High School graduate, was committed to transferring to UCLA but will now head to Los Angeles as a pro. Last summer, he played in the Appalachian League, a summer collegiate league, for the Burlington Sock Puppets.

Besides UCLA, Gagnon attracted interest from Fresno State, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, and other major schools. Despite having opportunities to play four-year college ball early, he chose to stay another year at Reedley College.
For the Tigers, Gagnon made 10 starts, pitching 53 2/3 innings, striking out 98 batters, and posting a 3.69 ERA.
