Congressional demands for humanitarian assistance and a ceasefire in Gaza are reaching new heights.

U.S. Representative Greg Landsman (D-Ohio) has proposed the establishment of multiple aid entry points into Gaza instead of relying solely on the southern border crossing.

“If those areas have all of the food and medicine and water and gas that folks need, you will avoid tragic, gut-wrenching events,” he said.

Meanwhile, the momentum for peace is palpable, with at least 76 members of Congress advocating for a cessation of hostilities or a cease-fire in Israel and occupied Palestine, as of Thursday, March 7, according to the Working Families organization.

This mounting support reflects the growing imperative for decisive action in the region.
