Do you have ideas about what strengths, skills, and qualities the next superintendent of Fresno Unified School District should have? Now’s your chance to share them with the School Board.
The district has scheduled seven community listening sessions that will be held next Tuesday and Wednesday to get feedback from staff, parents, and residents. The input will guide the trustees in selecting a replacement for Superintendent Bob Nelson, who is departing for a faculty job at Fresno State. His last day will be July 31.
The Tuesday meetings will be held at two times: 5:30 p.m. in the cafeterias at Bullard, Edison, and Sunnyside high schools, and 7:30 p.m. in the cafeterias at Roosevelt and Fresno high schools and Ahwahnee Middle School. The Wednesday meetings will be at 5:30 p.m. in the McLane High School cafeteria and 7:30 p.m. in the Duncan Poly High School cafeteria.
Those who are unable to attend any of the meetings but still want to provide input to the trustees can take an online survey that is available in English, Spanish, and Hmong.
