Fresno County detectives believe they’ve figured out why people going to Table Mountain Casino frequently got flat tires.

Last week, sheriff’s deputies arrested Matthew Ebner, 53, of Dos Palos on vandalism charges and booked him into jail.

The detectives say Ebner was feuding with the casino and was getting back at the tribal business by dropping homemade metal spikes in the parking lot and on Millerton Road.

The spikes flattened the tires of at least 35 vehicles, detectives believe, and the damage totaling thousands of dollars might have continued.

However, Table Mountain Police and detectives identified a truck that they thought might be connected to the flat tires.

After identifying the truck’s owner at Ebner, detectives obtained a search warrant for his home, where they found metal spikes and other evidence.

If you believe you were the victim of Ebner’s alleged vandalism, contact the Sheriff’s Office at (559) 600-3111.
