A Porterville man is going to a place where he can’t rape children anymore.

Javier Gonzalez, 35, received a sentence of 40 years to life in state prison last week following his no-contest felony pleas in October to having sexual intercourse with a child 10 years old or younger and a separate sexual molestation charge.
Gonzalez will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life
Assaults Took Place Over Three Years
The sexual assaults occurred between December 2015 and December 2018 against a young girl, according to the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office.
Gonzalez had two prior felony convictions: for unlawful sexual intercourse (2006) and domestic violence (2016).
Deputy District Attorney Kelly Habroun prosecuted the case, which was investigated by Cpl. Mark Lightfoot and Cpl. Cody Martin of the Porterville Police Department.
