Tulare City School District reopened all of its elementary schools on Wednesday.
Third and fourth graders returned to campus for the first time since last March. Fifth and sixth graders will return on March 3. The moves come as coronavirus cases in Tulare County continue to decline.
“We are excited we’re at the point where we can reopen,” Superintendent Brian Hollingshead said. “We have been planning for a long time since way back in October. We are happy to get kids back on campus.”
Students in transitional kindergarten through second grade began returning as part of smaller cohorts earlier this month.
