Want to be paid to drink beer?

If your answer is no, go here. If your reply is in the affirmative, read on.

Anheuser Busch is holding a contest called the Natural Light Internship Search.  The winner, if you wish to call him or her that, receives an eight-week paid internship based in the suds company’s New York City office.

The “position description” for the internship holds nothing back. Item No. 5: “Product research (yes, it’s what you think it is).”

The brew in the spotlight here is Natural Light, a lower-calorie lager better known in fraternity houses as Natty Light.  In a recent “power ranking” for domestic beers, the Los Angeles Times decreed Natty Light was eminently chuggable but short on the taste side.

The “position description” for the internship in the official contest rules holds nothing back. Item No. 5: “Product research (yes, it’s what you think it is).”

Natty Light Internship Calls for Some Special Talents

Applicants should be able to write creatively and be an expert at transforming a bathtub into a beer cooler. The winner will act as a Natty Light brand ambassador, manage related social media, and post a weekly video log of the brand’s social media tales.

Applicants also must be beasts in the art of guerilla marketing. Which is … what, exactly? “If you have to ask, ” the application replies helpfully, “you can’t handle it.”

All intern hopefuls must be at least 21. Of course.

Submissions will be accepted until May 19. The internship runs from June 10 to Aug. 2.
