Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

In September, a small pup now known as LB was discovered abandoned along a remote Fresno County country road. His initial condition was dire, suffering from a severe skin ailment that left him with half of his fur missing.

Veterinarians diagnosed him with sarcoptic mange, a treatable but potentially lethal condition if left unchecked. This skin affliction can lead to intense discomfort, incessant itching, secondary infections, and in extreme cases, mortality.

LB’s journey to recovery was arduous yet heartening. Months of diligent treatment, including a regimen of oral medications and weekly medicated baths, were key to his progress. Today, LB stands as a testament to resilience and care, boasting a lush coat that rivals silk in its softness and beauty.

Estimated to be between one and two years old and weighing in at around 12 pounds, LB’s breed mix is speculated to be a blend of Pomeranian or American Eskimo Dog. His charming demeanor reflects a love for attention and intelligence, coupled with impressive agility skills. While he enjoys the company of other canines, LB’s heart yearns for the companionship and affection of a dedicated owner.

Prospective adopters interested in learning more about LB or offering him a forever home are encouraged to reach out to Mell’s Mutts through various social media platforms. The rescue organization is committed to finding LB a loving environment that suits his personality, ensuring he thrives and receives the care and affection he so richly deserves.

Prospective adopters must submit an adoption application for review to ensure the best match for each pup. The Land Before Time litter’s journey showcases the resilience of animals and the power of compassion in making a difference. Their story is a testament to hope, reminding us that every animal deserves a chance at happiness and security.
