University High School is proud to present our Symphony Orchestra Concert led by Dr. Randall Cornelison. This evening will showcase a special rendition of a remarkable composer, William Grant Still. Our production of “Afro-American Symphony” will be a celebration of the legacy of music from Mr. Still. His American classical composition is a testament to a unique style which is a rich tapestry of African American heritage. The added surprise is a special presentation for our very own conductor, Dr. Randall Cornelison. The presentation will be given by Dennis Bacopulos, CEO California Armenian Home, and University High School. Dr. Randall Cornelison, lovingly known as Dr. C., believes music and performing arts are a vital role in our culture at University High School. He works tirelessly to teach at our school and shares the gift of music with the surrounding community. We want to share our talented students and our UHS conductor with all of you. Please join us for a special invitation to attend on April 25th 7:00 PM., at Shaghoian Theater. The night will not disappoint. Please join us for African American folk music and a special recognition for our very own “Best of the Best Award for Dr. Randall Cornelison.
