Deputies Spread Holiday Cheer by Handing out $100 Bills to Drivers in Madera

For most drivers, a feeling of fear and panic washes over them when they see red and blue lights in their rear view mirror. Drivers in Madera County experienced the complete opposite Monday, relief and gratitude.
Madera County Sheriff’s Office deputies spent the day pulling over drivers and handing out 50 $100 bills.
Sheriff Varney says that deputies usually only have contact with people when something stressful or bad is happening.
