Dr. Katherine Flores, founder of Doctors Academy in Fresno County, spoke with GV Wire about her vision for Doctors Academy; educating parents about helping their child prepare for college; why Doctors Academy students are taught to recognize health disparities in disadvantaged communities; whether graduates of the program are now working in health care jobs in the Fresno area; and the importance of giving back to the community.

What was your vision for the Doctors Academy program?
