The Mountain West Wire reports that Jake Haener, who was rated a three-star quarterback prospect out of Danvilleโ€™s Monte Vista High School and signed with Washington, has transferred to Fresno State and is sitting out the 2019 season.
Haener backed up Jake Browning last season, completing 9 of 13 passes for 107 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He will enter 2020 as a redshirt junior for the Bulldogs. Haener announced last month he was leaving the Huskiesโ€™ powerhouse program after losing the competition for the starting job to Jacob Eason.

With starting quarterback Jorge Reyna in his last season at Fresno State, Haener will battle against two quarterbacks on the Bulldogs roster, Ben Woolridge and Steven Comstock, for the 2020 starting job.
In addition, Jaden Casey, a senior at Calabasas High School, has committed to Fresno State.
