Fresno State’s Vintage Days won’t be a victim of the COVID-19 pandemic after all — but the on-campus celebration is moving into a virtual world.

The annual event was one of many that had to be canceled after the coronavirus outbreak struck and forced a lockdown of all nonessential activities.

But then festival organizers announced on Twitter that the show must go on.

Vintage Days Starts Friday

So the three-day student-run festival will open Friday with music, activities, arts, and crafts — pretty much everything except the food booths (oh, those gooey cinnamon rolls!)

Looking for activities for the kids? Check out the Vintage Days website and social media accounts for options. You might need to rummage around the house for art project supplies.

Want the world to see how beautiful your ’57 Chevy is? There’s an online auto show, and community members will get to vote for the people’s choice award on Sunday. Entrants in the car show can fill out an online application, supply a photo, and provide details on why your car is a winner.

And if your favorite part of Vintage Days is the Crafts Faire, don’t despair. There will be a directory and gallery of artisans and their works on the festival website.

Connect with @FSVintageDays on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram or visit fresnostate.edu/vintagedays.
