UC Davis really, really wants its student population to stay within city limits over spring break.
The university is offering 750 Davis students a $75 grant through a partnership with the city of Davis to be used for “staycations” later this month.
The grants can be used for purchases at local small businesses — and are tied to four different categories: Get Active, Get Artsy, Home Improvement and Let’s Stay In. The businesses involved in the partnership have not been named.
