Monday’s observation of Eid al-Fitr marked the end of the holy month of Ramadan when Muslims abstain from food and drink from sunrise to sunset.

In Fresno, the Islamic Cultural Center welcomed over a hundred people who visited, took part in prayers, and ended their time of fasting over a festive morning meal.

“Today is the celebration, the culmination, of all of that beauty — the spirituality, the charity, the community, the blessings, the prayers,” said ICCF executive director Reza Nekumanesh.

GV Wire videographer Jahz Tello was there to capture the sights and sounds of the local gathering.
