A 72-year-old man was arrested Saturday evening after deputies found a pound of crystal methamphetamine in his vehicle, the Merced County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies were patrolling Joseph Gallo Drive near the Sure Stay Best Western in Livingston when they recognized the man as having an active felony warrant from the Merced Police Department. With the assistance of a sheriff’s office helicopter, deputies conducted a vehicle stop and took Ronald Killman into custody.
During a search of Killman’s vehicle, deputies found approximately one pound of crystal meth and items suggesting the drugs were intended for sale.
Killman was booked into the Merced County Jail on charges of felony possession of narcotics with intent to sell, illegal transport or sale of a controlled substance, and his outstanding warrants.
