Lane reductions are scheduled to begin Monday on Palm and Nees avenues due to contractor median work for a new housing development, the city of Fresno said.

Starting at 9 a.m. Monday, northbound Palm Avenue at Nees Avenue will be reduced to one right-turn lane. Nees Avenue will also be reduced to one lane in each direction between Palm and Ingram avenues.

The lane closures are expected to remain in place through Friday.

City officials encouraged drivers to use alternate routes or expect delays. Motorists are advised to follow posted signage and watch for crews working in the roadway.
