A woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon after a disturbance near Veva Blunt Elementary School during student dismissal, Visalia police said.

Officers responded at about 2:20 p.m. to a report of a disturbance in the 700 block of South Chinowth.

Police said the woman ran through the area near the school and shouted at students to run.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs, police said, citing California Health and Safety Code 11550.

No students or others were injured, according to the Visalia Police Department.
