Authorities have booked a 53-year-old man for manslaughter following Clovis’ second homicide of the year.
Clovis Police identified the suspect as Charles Gulley, who was booked into Fresno County Jail for manslaughter and violation of post-release community supervision.
The victim, Robert Ramage, 64, was found dead just before 3:30 a.m. Thursday in a parking lot near the Fresno County Child Protective Services building after suffering head trauma, police said.
Detectives and the department’s Special Enforcement Team reviewed surveillance footage, conducted interviews, processed evidence, and followed leads.
Investigators determined that both the victim and suspect were unhoused and engaged in a physical altercation that led to Ramage’s death, police said.
