A 4.4-magnitude earthquake shook California’s Central Coast early Tuesday, rattling indoor objects.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported the quake struck near Templeton at a depth of 3.5 miles at about 9:54 a.m.

The USGS later revised the earthquake’s magnitude down to 4.1.

The earthquake occurred four miles from Templeton, eight miles from Atascadero and Paso Robles, 19 miles from Morro Bay, 22 miles from Los Osos, and 23 miles from San Luis Obispo.
