A Visalia man was sentenced Friday to 60 years-to-life in prison for sexually abusing three young girls in Tulare and Kern counties, the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement.
Pablo Calderon, 34, pleaded no contest in August to three counts of lewd acts on a child under 14.
The victims were eight years old or younger when the assaults occurred between 2009 and 2017.
Calderon also admitted special allegations that the crimes involved multiple victims and that he had a prior strike offense for a 2011 robbery.
Under California law, Calderon is required to register as a sex offender for life and is not eligible for early release under youthful offender or elder parole provisions.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Chelsea Wayt and investigated by the Visalia Police Department, Kern County Sheriff’s Office, and Tulare County District Attorney’s Bureau of Investigations.
