A man was hospitalized and another arrested following a stabbing in Visalia on Friday evening, police said.

Officers responded just before 7:30 p.m. to the 900 block of North Divisadero Street after reports of a stabbing, according to the Visalia Police Department.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been stabbed following a verbal argument.

The victim was taken to Kaweah Health for treatment and is in stable condition.

Police arrested Emanuel Lopez, 23, who was booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility on suspicion of attempted homicide.
