Fighters from across the state, including one fighter from San Antonio, Texas, faced off in the ring at Valley Fight Series 21 hosted at Table Mountain Casino on Saturday. The event brought together Muay Thai fighters, boxers, and mixed martial artists in exhibition and title fights.

In her fourth professional bout, Visalia boxer Jennah Creason achieved her third win — this time over San Antonio-based boxer Alivia Bierey. The headline bout went the distance with close exchanges between the two women.

Creason fought to close the distance Bierey maintained, ultimately prevailing.

Both mixed martial arts fights ended in the first round. Fighting out of Headhunterz MMA, Tracey Hunter ended his match against Connor Subriar from Smashlab in Bakersfield in minutes. Subriar went to his guard and working from the top, Hunter’s blows proved too much.

The fight between Oseyiomon Oyemhonlan took even less time after Marlon Watkins’ attempted double-leg takedown opened him up for a guillotine choke.

The other two boxing matches on the main event went the distance. Diamond Templeton of Valley Fight Club in Hanford and Chris Chavez of Oakdale MMA in San Jose fought to exhaustion. The showboating Templeton won over Chavez, who despite being gassed, punched through his fatigue.

The fight between 1-0 Darion Hall of Gifted Handz Boxing Academy in Fresno and 3-0 Pedro Juarez of Last Stand Boxing in Oakdale took a much more technical turn. Hall and Juarez put their footwork to use in a calculated exchange of blows, with Juarez taking the win in a unanimous decision.

The next Valley Fight Series will be Oct. 11 at the Wakehouse in Reedley.
