Original Story

A woman in her 20s was killed Monday night in a hit-and-run crash after leaving a vehicle during a disturbance in west Fresno, police said.

Officers responded around 8:15 p.m. to Hughes Avenue between Nielsen and Belmont avenues and found the woman lying in the roadway, the Fresno Police Department said.

She was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
