Visalia police arrested a 23-year-old man after a series of crashes late Friday night that left a pedestrian with minor injuries.

Officers said they first saw a white truck speeding at approximately 11:54 p.m. before it collided with a parked vehicle. The driver fled the scene at a high rate of speed.

The truck was later found in the 500 block of North Church Street, where it hit another parked car.

The driver continued toward downtown, crashing into Sebby’s Restaurant and striking a pedestrian standing outside. The pedestrian suffered minor injuries.

Authorities identified the driver as Miguel Banda, 23.

He was arrested and booked on charges including DUI, driving with a suspended license, resisting arrest, and reckless evasion of law enforcement.
