Authorities arrested 45 people and seized illegal firearms and drugs during a multi-agency parole and probation compliance sweep across Tulare County over the past two weekends, officials said Tuesday.

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office led the operation in collaboration with the county’s Probation Department, the California Department of Corrections Parole Division, the District Attorney’s Office, and multiple local police departments, including those in Tulare, Visalia, Dinuba and Woodlake.

The TARGET Task Force and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation also participated.

The enforcement effort focused on locating individuals with outstanding warrants and other violations. During the sweep, authorities made dozens of arrests related to illegal firearm possession, drug offenses, and other active warrants.

About six firearms were confiscated, along with a variety of illegal drugs, including controlled substances.
