Visalia Shooting Leaves Two Dogs Dead, Two Injured

A 42-year-old man was arrested Monday afternoon after allegedly shooting four dogs belonging to his neighbor in Visalia, leaving two dead and two injured.

At approximately 1:31 p.m., officers with the Visalia Police Department responded to a report of a suspect actively shooting at dogs in the 1600 block of North Bridge Street.

Authorities identified the suspect as Anthony Serrato and located him without incident in the 1700 block of North Garden Street where he was arrested.

Officers discovered that four dogs had been shot. One of the animals was found in Serrato’s backyard.

Visalia Animal Control confirmed that two of the dogs had died, while the other two were injured and transported to a local veterinary clinic for emergency care.
