A man wanted in connection with an attempted murder case was arrested Saturday night following a traffic stop in Visalia, the Visalia Police Department said in a statement.
Visalia police pulled over a vehicle just after 8 p.m. near Mooney Boulevard and Cameron Avenue.

Officers said the vehicle was flagged as being involved in an attempted murder investigation out of Corcoran.
The driver, who had an active warrant related to the case, was detained and later turned over to the Corcoran Police Department.

Police said a search of the vehicle revealed a loaded, unregistered firearm inside a purse belonging to a female passenger.
She was arrested and booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Detention Facility.
