Three 14-year-olds have been arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a 10-year-old child, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

The arrests followed an investigation by the Fresno Police Department and the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

On April 4, a school resource officer at Fresno High School was notified that students were sharing an explicit video depicting four boys sexually assaulting a child.

Detectives identified all four suspects, each 14 years old. On Thursday, officers arrested three of the teens on the Fresno High campus. The fourth suspect is believed to have moved to Mexico, authorities said.

The three boys were booked into juvenile hall on multiple felony charges, including lewd acts with a child under 14, lewd acts by force or fear, oral copulation with a child under 14, and possession of child pornography, police said in the statement.

School officials were notified of the arrests and informed the parents or guardians of those involved.
