A Fresno felon was arrested Tuesday in connection with a shooting that shattered a home’s window earlier this month, authorities said.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire on March 4 at a residence near Delno and Floradora avenues, where they found a broken living room window and multiple bullet fragments inside, according to Fresno police.

Detectives reviewing surveillance footage identified a man seen with a firearm moments before the shooting.

On Tuesday, officers with Fresno’s Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium conducted a probation check near Fruit and McKinley avenues as part of an investigation into Christopher Arteaga for illegal firearm possession and gang activity.

Detectives determined Arteaga was also the suspect in the March 4 shooting.

Police said a firearm linked to Arteaga, along with other evidence from the shooting, was recovered.

He was booked into Fresno County Jail on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and willfully firing at an inhabited dwelling, police said.
