“Big thanks to the community for passing Measure A. That’s helping us complete this entire educational center. And I’m just honored to be the principal here.” — Principal Sonia Torossian
Hundreds of Clovis Unified students glimpsed their future middle school and high school last week.
The Terry P. Bradley Educational Center in southeast Clovis consists of two schools on the same lot: Sanchez Intermediate School and Clovis South High School.
The mascot for both schools is the Longhorns and their colors are burnt orange, navy blue, gray, and white.
About 375 students toured the project being built by Harris Construction of Fresno.

What Is a Top-Loading Gym?
The campus will be home to a top loading gym, a feature that no other Clovis Unified school has.
Director of Construction and Engineering Rick Lawson explained, “So a top-loading gym, if you can think about the Save Mart Center at Fresno State, so you walk in at ground level and you walk down to your seat. Where the gyms now you walk in at sidewalk level and you walk up to your seats.”
$540 Million Project
The Bradley Educational Center will cost an estimated $540 million.
“Our total construction only budget is estimated to be approximately $540 million and will come from local funds (bonds and developer fees),” said Clovis Unified spokeswoman Kelly Avants. “We also plan to submit the project for eligible reimbursements from the State facility program.”
Sanchez Intermediate School (Phase I) will open the first day of school Aug. 18 this fall. Clovis South High School (Phase II) will open August 2027. (GV Wire/Jahz Tello)
