The Fresno State’s men’s basketball team was one second away from upsetting Wyoming in Laramie and getting its first Mountain West road victory under first-year coach Vance Walberg.
But Obi Agbim hit a contested 3-pointer at the buzzer to tie it at 67 apiece, and the Cowboys buried the Bulldogs in the overtime session to escape with an 83-72 victory on Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs (5-16, 1-9) have led late in several MW games this season only to see victory slip away. In this one, they overcame a 13-point second-half deficit by forcing numerous turnovers and taking the lead to the chagrin of the Wyoming fans.
