Liga MX returns this weekend with a packed schedule, highlighted by the highly anticipated El Clásico de Clásicos between Chivas and Club América, reported by Viva Liga MX.
In their previous 41 meetings, Chivas has won 10 times, while Club América has secured 19 victories. The teams have drawn 12 times, with the most recent stalemate occurring on May 15 during the Liga MX Clausura playoffs.
After a two-week international break, the league resumes with all nine matches scheduled for Friday and Saturday, allowing teams to enjoy Independence Day festivities on Sunday and Monday.

Friday
Puebla hosts Querétaro at Estadio Cuauhtémoc. Puebla, fresh from a win over América and a draw with Mazatlán, seeks its third consecutive unbeaten game. Querétaro, still in search of its first win of the season, managed just one point before the break.
Later, Atlas faces Pachuca at Estadio Jalisco. Atlas, having suffered its first league defeat against San Luís, remains unbeaten at home. Pachuca, CONCACAF Champions Cup winners, have struggled since their last win in Week 3.
In Juárez, FC Juárez meets Mazatlán. Both teams are outside the playoff spots and need a win to close the gap. Juárez, with just one point so far, is reeling from a heavy loss to Chivas.
Tigres, currently second in the standings, hosts San Luís at Estadio Universitario. Tigres, buoyed by a comeback win over Pumas, will face a San Luís side fresh off an impressive win against Atlas. A victory for San Luís could tighten the standings.
The night wraps up with Necaxa vs. Pumas at Estadio Victoria. Necaxa, reeling from a loss to Santos Laguna, faces Pumas, aiming to rebound from recent defeats.
Saturday
Toluca meets Tijuana in a 3rd vs. 4th clash. Both teams are strong contenders for the playoffs, with past meetings showing a competitive edge.
The spotlight then shifts to El Clásico de Clásicos at Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes, where Club América faces Chivas. Despite recent struggles, América, reigning champions, will look to recover from poor form. Chivas, however, have recently shown improvement with a draw against Tigres and a big win over Juárez.
In León, León hosts league leaders Cruz Azul. León, still winless this season, faces a tough challenge against an in-form Cruz Azul, who have dropped points just once.
The weekend concludes with Santos Laguna vs. Monterrey in Torreón. Monterrey, stung by a recent loss to Toluca, will seek to bounce back against Santos, who have struggled throughout the season.
