The Fresno County Sheriff’s office identified Isaias Lopez, 35, of Coalinga on Wednesday as the victim of a recent deadly shooting in Riverdale.

This marks the 10th homicide investigation of the year for the sheriff’s office, with eight in its direct jurisdiction and two taken over from small police departments.

Lopez’s killing occurred on July 24. Deputies responded to a 911 call shortly before midnight from a residence near Mount Whitney and Garfield Avenues and found him with bullet wounds.

Despite efforts by deputies and EMS personnel to administer first aid, Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives, with assistance from the Crime Scene Unit, are working the case. According to officials, people known to each other were at the home at the time of the fatal shooting.

No arrests have been made.
