The Artist Tree, a cannabis dispensary and lounge in northwest Fresno, donated $20,000 to both the Fresno Arts Council and the Poverello House on Friday.

The donation to the Fresno Arts Council will help create the Art Haven program, a safe space for the unhoused to make art.

The Poverello House will use its grant to help fund Papa Mike’s Cafe, which provides hot meals for residents in need, and buy bottled water for homeless people, said Poverello Executive Director Zachary Darrah.
