Republicans Bill Hagerty and Kevin Hern won U.S. Senate races in Tennessee and Oklahoma on Tuesday, according to NBC News projections.

In Tennessee, NBC projected Hagerty, the incumbent, would defeat Democrat Marquita Bradshaw and win a second term.

Hagerty was first elected to the Senate in 2020. Bradshaw was also the Democratic nominee in that race.

In Oklahoma, NBC projected Hern would defeat Democrat N’Kiyla Jasmine Thomas for an open Senate seat.

Hern will succeed appointed Republican Sen. Alan Armstrong, who has held the seat since March after Markwayne Mullin resigned to become homeland security secretary.

The victories keep both Senate seats in Republican hands as the parties battle for control of the chamber.
