More than 1,300 PG&E customers in Clovis lost electricity Thursday afternoon, shortly after another outage affecting the same number of customers in the area.

PG&E reported the latest unplanned outage at 2:47 p.m. Thursday, with 1,366 customers affected.

A crew was working to restore power and said it should be restored at 5:15 p.m.

The cause had not been determined.

The outage came shortly after another 1,366-customer outage in a Clovis residential area around Barstow Avenue between Temperance and Leonard avenues.

PG&E had estimated power from that outage would be restored around 3:15 p.m.

It was not immediately clear whether the two outages were related.
