Two of Fresno Chaffee Zoo’s newest residents are officially ready to meet the public.

African lion cubs Jubilee and Indy made their public debut Tuesday in the zoo’s African Adventure habitat, giving visitors their first opportunity to see the young lions alongside their family.

Born July 4, the cubs spent their first few months growing and bonding with their mother, Zamaya, behind the scenes.

During that time, they were also introduced to their father, Chisulo, and siblings, Asali and Taraj.

On their first day in the habitat, Jubilee and Indy explored their new surroundings, played with their siblings, and stayed close to their mother for cuddles, according to the zoo.

Visitors can now see the entire lion pride in the African Adventure habitat daily.

The zoo said guests can follow its social media channels for updates on the cubs and other newborn animals.

Those interested in supporting the young lions can participate in the zoo’s virtual adoption program through its website.
