A male juvenile was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle at Bullard and Temperance avenues, Clovis police said.
Officers responded at about 4:33 p.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a vehicle-pedestrian collision.
The pedestrian suffered major injuries and was taken to a local hospital. His parents have been notified, police said.
The driver, also a male juvenile, remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Police said DUI is not suspected. The driver’s parents have also been notified.
Westbound Bullard Avenue and northbound Temperance Avenue were closed during the investigation. Police advised drivers to avoid the area or expect delays.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the Clovis Police Department Traffic Division.
