Taylor Swift Announces New Single ‘Patient Zero’ Ahead of MTV VMAs

Taylor Swift announced Tuesday that her new single, “Patient Zero,” will be released Sept. 25, following months of speculation and cryptic clues for fans, according to People.
The 36-year-old singer said on Instagram that the song is available for preorder on her website for 24 hours. Three collector’s edition CDs are being offered, featuring standard, acoustic, and piano versions of the track with double-sided covers.
The announcement comes ahead of the Sept. 27 MTV Video Music Awards, where Swift will receive the inaugural Artist Director Honors recognizing her work directing music videos and expanding visual storytelling in music.
