ChatGPT Down for Thousands of Users Thursday, Downdetector Reports

ChatGPT experienced a possible outage Thursday, according to Downdetector.com.

More than 5,000 users had reported problems with the platform as of 7:53 a.m. PT, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collecting status reports from multiple sources.

ChatGPT’s status checker says that they are not aware of any issues.

Update at 8:03 a.m.

More than 22,000 users have now reported an issue with the platform.

The status checker now says, “We are investigating the issue for the listed services.” Those services are Codex and ChatGPT.

Update at 8:09 a.m.

More than 43,000 users have now reported an issue with ChatGPT.

The status checker still says that the platform is investigating the issues.

Update at 8:14 a.m.

More than 52,000 users have now reported an issue.

Update at 8:18 a.m.

More than 66,000 users have reported an issue with the platform while the status checker still says that the company is investigating the issue.

Update at 8:23 a.m.

More than 74,000 users have reported an issue to Downdetector.
