Major League Baseball has selected the San Francisco Giants and Oracle Park to host the 2028 MLB All-Star Game, bringing the league’s annual celebration of baseball’s top players to San Francisco.
The All-Star festivities will include the T-Mobile Home Run Derby, All-Star Futures Game and the Midsummer Classic, along with other events throughout San Francisco.
The Bay Area Host Committee welcomed the announcement, saying the event will give the region another opportunity to host a major international sporting event.
“Leagues and governing bodies from around the world continue to turn to the Bay Area to elevate their biggest events — and we’re thrilled to add the MLB All-Star Game to that legacy,” Bay Area Host Committee President and CEO Zaileen Janmohamed said in a statement. “This storied celebration of baseball’s best gives us another opportunity to showcase world-class sport in this incredible region.”
