The Bakery by Indulge Right Foods has permanently closed both of its Fresno and Clovis locations, owner and chef Varouj Kachichian announced Tuesday in a Facebook post.

Kachichian said the closures are effective immediately after what he described as four years of “hard work, sleepless nights, countless hours, and an insane amount of sacrifices.”

“This has been one of the most difficult decisions I have ever made,” Kachichian wrote. “I might still be in a little denial, but eventually it will hit me.”

In a separate graphic shared with the announcement, the bakery thanked customers for four years of support.

Kachichian did not disclose the reason for the closures, saying he would not share additional information.

The Bakery Specialized in Gluten-Free Goods

The bakery specialized in gluten-free baked goods and food. In his message, Kachichian said he was saddened to leave the gluten-free community “without a safe haven to enjoy amazing baked goods and great food without the risk of cross-contamination, with absolute certainty of a 100% gluten-free experience.”

Customers with orders scheduled in the near future either have already received refunds or will receive them within the next few days, he said.

Kachichian also said customers who have been purchasing the bakery’s flour blends can contact him to buy larger quantities at discounted prices. He invited people interested in opening a gluten-free bakery to reach out if they are financially prepared, saying he is willing to offer support regardless of their location.

“I thank every one of you from the bottom of my heart for all your support, encouragement, and patronage over the past few years,” Kachichian wrote. “Thank you for being part of my journey for the past few years; I will miss you all.”
