Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a man’s body was found Friday morning in a canal west of Biola.
Shortly after 11 a.m., someone working near Shaw and Goldenrod avenues reported finding a body in a nearby canal, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded and confirmed a deceased man was in the water. Members of the Sheriff’s Dive Unit recovered the body from the canal.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office and the Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office are working to positively identify the man.
Authorities said the circumstances surrounding the death are unknown, and the investigation remains ongoing.
